Terms of use
These terms apply when you use Ronnie, at app.ronnie.app or from your Home Screen. Please read them with our privacy policy. By using Ronnie you agree to them.
Who we are
Ronnie is made by Numeris Digital Limited, London (“we”). Contact us at hello@ronnie.app.
What Ronnie is, and isn’t
- Ronnie is a record-keeping aid. It helps you note blood sugars, feeds, nappies, sleep, weight and expressing, and reminds you when things are due.
- It doesn’t give medical advice, diagnose anything or replace your care team. Target ranges and the plan for a low are whatever your care team tells you to enter. Always follow their advice.
- If you’re worried about your baby, call the ward or your midwife, or 999 in an emergency. Don’t wait for a reminder.
- Reminders depend on your phone, its settings and its connection, so they can be late or missed. Don’t rely on them alone.
- Chart scanning reads handwriting automatically and can get it wrong. Check every reading before you save it.
Your records
Your records are kept on your phone. If you clear your browser data, delete the app or lose your phone, they can be lost unless you’ve backed them up or turned on sharing. Ronnie reminds you to back up. You’re responsible for the information you enter.
Nurses, midwives and doctors
Professional mode is an aide-memoire. The baby’s notes stay the clinical record, so keep charting as your trust requires. Only use Ronnie where your trust’s policies allow it. Label cots by bay and cot, never by name, crop out or cover patient details before scanning a chart, and share handovers only through your trust’s approved channels.
What’s free
Logging feeds, nappies, sleep, weight and expressing, timers, reminders, the plan for a low and backups are free. Low readings can always be saved.
Donations
Blood sugars unlock for good with a donation of any amount to the Starlight fund at Royal Free Charity (registered charity 1165672), made through JustGiving. 100% of your donation goes to the charity, and Numeris Digital receives nothing from it. Your donation is between you, JustGiving and the charity, under JustGiving’s terms. We only check that a donation was made.
Subscriptions
- The extras cost £2.99 a month or £24.99 a year, including any VAT. Payments are taken by Stripe.
- Your plan renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel any time in Ronnie (More, then Unlock, then Manage or cancel). The extras stay on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- The extras start as soon as you subscribe. When you subscribe, you ask us to start straight away and confirm that you lose your 14-day right to cancel that payment once they unlock. You can still cancel future payments at any time.
- If a yearly plan renews and you didn’t mean it to, tell us within 14 days of the renewal and we’ll cancel it and refund the unused part.
- If we change the price, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
- NHS staff and families with a ward code can unlock everything free. We may withdraw a code that’s being misused.
Using Ronnie fairly
Don’t try to break, copy or get round Ronnie’s unlocks or security, or use it to break the law. We may stop an unlock that was obtained unfairly.
Changes and availability
We’re always improving Ronnie, so features can change. We’ll try to keep it running, but can’t promise it will always be available or free of faults. If we make a change to these terms that affects you, we’ll update this page and mention it in the app’s “What’s new”.
Our responsibility to you
If we fail to keep to these terms, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result of that. We aren’t responsible for loss that wasn’t foreseeable, or for decisions about care, which stay with you and your care team. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, or affects your legal rights as a consumer.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there.
